Romans 1:16 " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth..."

Jamey was raised in a Christian family, so he has had God and the Gospel with him his entire life. The saying goes, however, " God has no grandchildren.", and this was as true for Jamey as it is for anyone else. In his own words:

"Even though I have known the Gospel my entire life, I still had to develop my own personal relationship with God. I gave my life to Jesus when I was about six years old, and I have recommitted myself to him several times throughout the years. I have fallen away from God and he has brought me back. There are consequences for everything. Even though David loved God and God loved David, the sword never left David's house. Right now, I'm working on my personal relationship with God still, and I always will be until I go to meet him at the end. Proverbs 22 tells us that if you raise a chld in the way of the Lord he will not depart from it. That is certainly true for me. I have had my troubles and my times of rebellion, but I always knew the truth. And God in his infinite kindness and grace has seen fit to forgive me and allow me to return to him every time."

"Simply put, I believe the Bible. God created us, he sent his Son to die for our sins, and if we give our lives to Him, we will join him in Heaven at the end. The rest is small details really. As Jesus said, the first commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart. The second is to love your neighbor as yourself. All the other commandments come from these. And it's true. If you follow those two commandments you will find that you follow all the others as well."
"I am a bit concerned for the Church right now. I think that, especially in the larger organized Churches, the Church as a whole has fallen away from God and let many things get in the way. Money is always a huge stumbling block. I've had the chance to observe many churches in the past few years and I think that we really need another Martin Luther. The Church needs to return to her first love. I really love Casting Crowns song 'What If His People prayed'. It really speaks to my heart. Church and the Christian faith are not social activities. God loves us, and he wants all of us, our whole beings. I think the Church needs to return to him."

"Right now, I'm really struggling with forgiving and loving people. I know. That's strange for a person who is at heart a performer. Still, I tend to be unrealistically ideological. I set standards that even I can't attain. When others fail to meet them, I find myself getting very judgmental. I'm praying about this and working on it. If you like, you could pray that for me as well. Ask God to help me keep a soft heart and love other people more. "

Jamey is currently working on his first completely faith driven project. Look for it to be completed in late 2012. God bless!
