Romans 1:16 " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth..."

Hello, I am very pleased to announce two upcoming musical events, I’m involved in both of them, but in very different ways.

On April 1st of 2016 I will be performing a vocal recital. The official title is “2000 years of Music in Just Under an Hour”. The idea of the recital is a musical journey through time, starting with the earliest complete song known to us (mankind) and finishing with works that would be considered contemporary (although still written over 50 years ago). i will be singing in this recital and I really think that you will enjoy it.

Later in the spring, on May 27th, I will be staging a composition recital in which you can be the first to hear the compositions that I’ve completed over the last few years. I don’t plan on performing in this recital, and if I do, it will be in a minor way as a singer in some of the vocal pieces. The genre sweep will be wide, from solo bassoon to small ensemble and from modern sounding music to more classical type music. It will fun and interesting, and you will be able to hear what is being composed today in the world of “serious” music.

One important note, these recitals are children friendly and especially special needs children friendly. As a parent of two autistic children, I know the struggle of going to public events. There is always the fear of how your child will behave and what might happen. I have had to leave more than one concert because of my child’s behavior. To be honest, I understand that. I need to respect the impact that my child has on other people. But with that in mind, I want to provide an opportunity for parents of special needs kids to attend a real musical event. The music will be good at both events, and I will make every effort to make you feel welcome. We’ll save some seats close to the doors in case you need to escape. So please come.

Directions to the recital hall can be found here or use your favorite app to find 340 W. Nickerson St. Seattle, WA 98119.

Thanks for reading. Hope to see you there!
